Energy Credit Incentive
In August of 2022 with the passing of the Inflation Reduction Act, federal tax credits became available for homeowners for the following improvements.
- Energy Audits
- Air Sealing and Insulation
- Heat pumps & Water Heaters
- Electrical Panel Upgrades
- Efficient HVAC systems
- Upgraded doors and windows
Beginning on January 1st of 2024, Colorado residents have the opportunity to take advantage of tax credits when installing heat pumps. Coloradans that install an eligible heat pump with a registered contractor will receive a portion of the tax credits as a discount at the time of installation. In addition there are also rebate programs for full home electrification and deep energy retrofits that can save thousands of dollars.
